When it loads up, brush the dust off and it keeps cutting, job after job.

For leathercraft, the flat trapezoid plate earns its keep in two places: roughening the grain or flesh side so contact cement gets a proper grip, and sanding laminated edges flat and square before burnishing or edge paint.
