This buckle is manufactured from solid brass and features softly rounded contours combined with a substantial cast construction.
Unlike many modern stamped buckles, this buckle is produced through a casting process, giving it greater visual depth, a more substantial feel in hand and smoother transitions throughout the frame profile.
The 25mm internal width makes it suitable for a wide range of leather belts, straps and leathercraft projects where a traditional brass appearance is desired. Each buckle is individually polished by hand after casting, creating a rich golden finish that complements both natural vegetable-tanned leather and darker heritage-style leathers.
About the Design
This buckle uses a centre bar configuration, one of the most widely used buckle designs in leathercraft. A practical advantage of centre bar buckles is that they are generally keeper-free — the folded strap construction naturally helps retain and control the loose strap end, eliminating the need for a separate keeper loop. The softly rounded frame profile gives the buckle a refined appearance while retaining the timeless character associated with traditional brass hardware.

Minor polishing marks, casting marks and small surface inconsistencies may be present. These are normal characteristics of cast brass hardware and should not be considered defects. Most often, a majority of these marks become hidden once the buckle is installed onto the finished leather strap.
Natural Brass Notice: As with all natural brass hardware, the surface will gradually oxidise and develop a patina over time. This is a natural characteristic of the material and is generally considered part of the appeal of solid brass products. The patina may be left to develop naturally or removed periodically using a suitable brass polish if a brighter appearance is preferred.
