This leather is very soft and may require reinforcement (such as salpa or lining) for structured applications. Panels follow the natural contours of the hide — belly and shoulder panels in particular will have irregular shapes rather than perfect rectangles.
Due to the light surface finish, the grain side may exhibit a slight surface grip when in contact with itself or other materials, especially under pressure. This is a normal characteristic of this leather type and does not affect usability. Loose fibres or dust picked up on the surface can be easily cleaned using a cloth or a crepe rubber eraser.
