Hand-Dyed Artisan Leather Belt Strap (3.3–3.5mm)
Hand-Dyed Artisan Leather Belt Strap (3.3–3.5mm)
Couldn't load pickup availability
This is a hand-dyed full-grain strap with each piece uniquely coloured with natural variation from hide to hide, as is characteristic of genuine hand-dyeing. The grain face is open and expressive, absorbing dye to produce depth and character that no machine-finished leather can replicate. At 3.3–3.5mm, it has real substance without being unwieldy, with a pasted back on the flesh side. The temper is firm with good backbone for belt and strap work, and edge burnishing performance is excellent — edges compact cleanly and smoothly with water, gum, wax, or friction.
🇮🇹 Extra-Stock Consignment Leather
This belt blank comes from an extra-stock consignment sourced through India-based manufacturers who work predominantly with Italian-origin tanneries. These are surplus hides — not seconds or rejects — cleared at significantly below-standard pricing. Quantities are limited and will not be restocked.
Tanning & Finish
This leather is veg tan / veg retan tanned. The aniline finish is applied directly to the grain with no topcoat — preserving the natural surface texture, maximising burnish response, and ensuring a patina that develops authentically with use.
Edge Burnishing Performance
Edge burnishing performance is rated Very Good. The firm temper and dense fibre structure allow edges to compact cleanly using water, gum, wax, or friction-based methods.

⚠️ Natural Marks & Variation
As full-grain leather, natural marks including healed scars, grain variation, and minor surface irregularities may be present. These are inherent to authentic full-grain hides and are not defects. Being extra-stock material, slight variation between pieces is to be expected and is part of the character of this leather.
