The Solid Brass Horseshoe D Ring is a screw pin D ring sized for leathercraft. Its rounded horseshoe body gives a strap, ring or key loop room to sit and move freely, while the removable pin lets you fit it onto a finished loop, D-ring or keyring without any stitching.
Made from solid brass with a polished finish, it works as both a functional connector and a visible design detail. Natural brass gradually darkens and develops a patina with handling, which many leatherworkers prefer on heritage-style goods.
Available in two sizes: Small and Large. See the specifications below to choose the right one for your strap or loop.
The Story Behind the Horseshoe D Ring
This design comes from sailing, where the same bow-shaped fitting was used for centuries aboard ships to join chain, rope and sails. The rounded horseshoe shape lets it take load from more than one direction, and the screw pin let sailors open and close it by hand.
Scaled down and made in brass, the same design has become a familiar detail on wallet chains, key holders and other heritage-style leather goods.

A Note on Solid Brass
This D ring is made from solid brass. Natural brass will darken and develop a patina over time. This is expected and is not a defect. Minor casting or polishing marks are normal for solid brass hardware.
Intended for leather goods and accessories. It is not rated for lifting, climbing or any load-bearing safety use.
