ECOSTICK® 9015ST HV is a professional water-based polychloroprene adhesive developed by INTERCOM (Italy) for leather goods manufacturing, footwear production, and upholstery applications.
🔧 Coupling & Folding Specialist
This adhesive is designed primarily as a coupling and folding adhesive used to temporarily hold materials together before stitching or final assembly. It provides reliable bonding strength while maintaining flexibility and clean processing during leather production. The long open time of 2–4 hours gives you plenty of working time for precise positioning.
Unlike many general-purpose glues, ECOSTICK® 9015ST HV combines:
✓ Long Open Time
2–4 hours for easy positioning
✓ Flexible Bond Lines
Won't crack or stiffen leather
✓ Heat Reactivation
Reactivate up to 48 hours later
✓ Clean Processing
Won't gum needles or stain leather
Key Technical Characteristics
💪 Medium-Strength Coupling Adhesive
ECOSTICK® 9015ST HV provides medium bonding strength, making it ideal for leather goods that will be stitched after bonding.
The adhesive is commonly used to:
🧵 Couple Before Stitching
Hold two leather layers together
📐 Fold Leather Edges
Clean edge folding and turning
🏷️ Attach Linings
Secure reinforcement layers
🔨 Assembly Holding
Keep parts in place during work
Because stitched construction ultimately provides the structural strength, the adhesive's role is to secure components during preparation and assembly.
⏱️ Long Open Time
One of the main advantages of ECOSTICK® 9015ST HV is its long open time of approximately 2–4 hours.
Once applied, the adhesive remains tacky for several hours, allowing:
⏱️ Easier Positioning
No rush to align parts
🔄 Adjustments Allowed
Reposition during assembly
🏭 Flexible Workflow
Work at your own pace
🔥 Heat Reactivation Capability
If the open time is exceeded, the adhesive can be reactivated by heating the adhesive film to 60–70 °C.
After heating for 8–10 seconds, the materials can be coupled and pressed together.
⏱️ Extended Working Time: Reactivation can be performed for up to 48 hours after application, giving additional flexibility during production.
✨ Flexible Bond Line & Clean Processing
ECOSTICK® 9015ST HV is designed to support clean and flexible leatherworking processes.
Key characteristics include:
🤸 Flexible Bond Line
Preserves natural leather flexibility in wallets, belts, bags, and footwear
✨ No Staining
Maintains visual quality of finished goods
🧘 No Stiffening
Bonded components bend naturally during use
🪡 No Needle Gumming
Perfect for goods that will be stitched after bonding
Adhesive Efficiency & Coverage
ECOSTICK® 9015ST HV contains approximately 50% solid adhesive content, meaning a large portion of the applied material contributes directly to bonding strength.
Typical application rate:
📊 Application Rate: ≈ 50–150 g/m² depending on substrate absorbency
In comparison, many solvent-based contact adhesives contain only around 10–20% actual adhesive solids, with the rest being volatile solvents that evaporate during drying.
This means that with solvent adhesives, a significant portion of what is applied does not contribute to bonding strength.
Because ECOSTICK® 9015ST HV contains a much higher proportion of active adhesive material, it typically allows:
📈 More Efficient Coverage
Higher coverage per unit volume
📏 Thinner Application
Less material needed for bonds
💰 Reduced Consumption
Lower adhesive usage in practice
Environmental & Safety Characteristics

Application Instructions
- Apply adhesive evenly to both surfaces.
- Allow the adhesive to dry until the film becomes transparent.
- Join the materials and apply pressure using a roller, press, or clamp.
⏱️ Reactivation Window: If more than 4 hours pass before bonding, the adhesive can be reactivated by heating to 60–70 °C before coupling.
Final bonding strength develops after approximately 4 days.
Application Tools
ECOSTICK® 9015ST HV can be applied using:
🖌️ Brush
Manual application
🔧 Spatula
Controlled spreading
💨 Spray Gun
Fast, even coverage
