The Wooden Leather Burnisher is a classic hand tool for clean, polished leather edges and smooth surfaces. Turned from dense hardwood, it sits naturally in the hand and is comfortable for long sessions.
The head has a set of grooves of different widths to suit a range of leather thicknesses, and the body tapers to a point, so the cone can work inside curves and burnish punched holes. Used with a burnishing compound such as Tokonole or TOKO PRO, it builds the friction that seals and polishes a raw edge.

How to Use
- Bevel and sand the edge first, then apply a thin layer of burnishing compound.
- Pick the groove that matches the edge thickness and rub briskly back and forth with light pressure until the edge firms up and takes a shine.
- Use the cone on inside curves, or twist it gently in a punched hole to smooth and burnish it.
- The smooth body of the cone can also be rubbed over the flesh side of veg-tan leather to slick it down.
